In addition to fishing and hunting, the river canyon on the Bar K offers exclusive access to 1,000 acres of cliffs, caves, canyons, draws, oak thickets, and river valley for hiking, birding, mountain biking, drone flying, etc. Or you can kayak the river, spending hours on the two miles on the ranch one day and take a second day to run the river down to the Pandale Crossing, where there is an easy pullout (we can help arrange a shuttle back to the ranch). We also offer a long range tactical shooting course taught by a retired Green Beret, and a Cowboy School that will teach you much of what you need to know if you want to make a decent ranch hand on a cattle operation. We can build these courses around your interests, the number of guests in your party, and the amount of time you can spend with us.
Road Trips: The ranch is remote, but if you visit the Bar K as part of a longer road trip to West Texas, there are numerous attractions within easy driving distance (by Texas standards anyway), including museums, luxury hotels and restaurants, national parks and recreation areas, a winery, art museums, and quirky towns.
